The Black Socialite TM: On Desiree Rogers - Let's Turn The Page

Just wanted to share The Black Socialite's post on Desiree Rogers' resignation from her role as White House Social Secretary. Besides being very well written and insightful, The Socialite touches on something that we should all keep in mind at rough patches in our career, "turning the page." Whether it's losing a job or simply having a bad day at work, this too shall pass. It is not the single moments in our lives that define us, but a collection of our failures and triumphs that make us who we are.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Rogers briefly in January. I was happy to find that she had a great sense of humor and spoke honestly about her time in the White House. I wish her nothing but the best!
