
You're Invited to a fun filled day at the Newseum:
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, as the Newseum explores the press and the presidency during an all-day, fun-filled "Family Day" that offers something for everyone.
Up to 3 kids (under age 18) free with one paid adult admission.
• Sniff out information about presidential campaigns during a News Hound scavenger hunt.
• Register to vote and cast your ballot for president in a kids-only election.
• Meet George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln and listen to their notable speeches.
• Watch award-winning Economist editorial cartoonist Kevin Kallaugher use his drawing and animation skills to draw past and present politicians.
• View artifacts from past presidential elections.
• Create bumper stickers or buttons supporting an issue or candidate you believe in. The first 100 kids admitted will receive a hat to decorate.
The D.C. Board of Elections will be on hand to register visitors 18 and older to vote.
