Legendary Fashion House DKNY to headline Couture for a Cure Runway Show May 25

The Couture for the Cure's runway show this Tuesday has me digging through my closet in search of my few but very much beloved DKNY items to wear to this very special event benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society . They're probably from the late 90's but, because DKNY is known for their classic pieces, you'd never know it. My only problem is if I can actually get them on!

The legendary fashion house will present its 2010 Spring Collection for the first time in our nation's capital and you don't want to miss it. Here's a peek at what they have in store for all you fashion savvy Washingtonians!

There's still time to buy your tickets to The Second Annual Couture for a Cure Runway Show at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. Sponsored by Microsoft and Capitol File Magazine, this year's Couture for a Cure will honor cancer survivors with a runway presentation hosted by WJLA News reporter Scott Thuman and Hot 99.5 personality Sarah Fraser.
Couture for a Cure recognizes the triumphs and struggles of those affected by cancer and celebrates the fundraising efforts of local philanthropists, entertainers, and entrepreneurs. This year's honorees are Accenture Senior Executive Ken Dineen, Peacock Café owners Shahab and Micky Farivar, the 2009 LLS Man & Woman of the Year Hap Peden and Ari Jones, who raised a combined total of over $200,000 towards LLS, and Jennifer Harlow of the Tigerlily Foundation.

VIP tickets are on sale for $125 and include a special reception from 6:30 to 7:00 pm, access to the VIP lounge, open bar from 6:30 to 10:00 pm, VIP seating for fashion show, discounted parking, and admission to the Couture for a Cure after party. General Admission is $75 and includes admission to the show with open bar from 7:00 to 10:00 pm and access to the Couture for a Cure after party. All proceeds from Couture for a Cure will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
